I wanted to give you a couple Green Smoothie Recipes to kick off your adventure into raw living.
Greens are one of the most important foods for us humanoids...well, maybe THE most important food, and green smoothies are a delicious way of adding more green nutrition into our diets. They are quick and easy to make. Just pop the ingredients into your blender (a 3hp blender like a Blendtec or Vitamix is best, but any decent blender that can crush ice will do), blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy and enjoy! I'll try and give you a few new recipes every day. Today, (which is still yesterday for me....it's 5am and I haven't gone to bed yet), I'm going to leave a couple quick ones, but tomorrow (which is really later today), I'll give you some links for further info on the many benefits of what adding more greens to your diet can do for your well being.
So here are two good ones:
2 cups of filtered water, or almond or Brazilnut milk
2 frozen bananas
a handful of kale
a handful of parsley
Throw all the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
This is one of my daughter, Laci's, favorites:
2 cups of almond milk
2 or 3 frozen bananas
5 or 6 strawberries (fresh or frozen)
1T raw cacao powder or carob powder
a handful of spinach
1t vanilla (optional)
